I never know what to do for my girlfriend’s birthday because we just have such different interests. Last year we went to the zoo which she absolutely loved – but I just found it boring! Despite the fact that she had a great time she was also aware that I wasn’t enjoying the day that much and I think it put a downer on the whole thing to be honest! I tried my best to make it seem like I was enjoying myself but she knows that I don’t like animals and she remembered me saying a few months before that I hated zoos!
This year I decided that the best thing to do was to ask her what she thought she might like to do, but when I approached her about it, she was adamant that she wanted a surprise! She didn’t care what it was that we did, she just wanted to do something I had thought of! It was not exactly what I wanted to hear, but I thought to myself that I would have a real go at finding something that both of us would like.
I started to have a look around online to see if there was anything we could go to together which we might both like, and eventually I came across a site which was selling tickets to a Mark Ronson gig! I never thought that I would come across tickets that I could afford for anything, let alone something that we would both like, but we both loved the new Mark Ronson Album, and this seemed like the perfect resolution! I booked the tickets immediately, and kept the date a secret until the big day.
When I told her what we were doing on the morning of her birthday she just screamed in delight! Finally I had found something that clearly pleased us both as much!
