The Latest and the Greatest Miley Cyrus News
Author: admin07 31st, 2008
The latest and greatest in Miley Cyrus news is that the “Best of Both Worlds Tour” kicked off on October 18th to a packed house. All 54 tour dates are sold out and getting tickets is impossible without going to your friendly neighborhood ticket scalper. An acclaim to Miley’s popularity is that some arenas were sold out in less than 15 minutes.
On October 5th, Miley celebrated her 16th birthday (yes we know she won’t be 16 until November) at Disneyland. Disneyland closed their doors for the day and Miley celebrated with 2500 fans and friends. Some of the friends had paid $250.00 to join her in her birthday celebration. The celebration featured fireworks, sixteen giant inflatable candles and Miley doing a set of 4 songs for an enthralled audience.
Miley, contrary to all the rumors floating around has committed to at least one more season her 4th with Hannah Montana. This commitment has squelched the rumors of the star leaving after this season. The third season of Hannah Montana is in production right now and the Hannah Montana movie is due for release in April of 2009.
Miley and Disney are making plans for her to star in a feature length movie written by Nicholas Sparks. This movie won’t be Hannah Montana but will continue Miley’s transition from a ‘tween star to one that will attract more teens and young adults.
Miley’s latest and greatest album, “Breakout” has spent 12 weeks on the Billboard top 100. This album in which the songs were written by Miley appears to be the start of the transition away from the ‘tween age group. “Breakout” was the number one album at one time but has slipped to #35 on the Billboard charts.
Miley will be kept busy in the coming months with her latest and greatest concert tour, shooting of Hannah Montana and the preparation of a new movie.

Author: admin07 30th, 2008
With the future catching up to us quickly, it is likely that we will see the gasoline driven vehicle disappear. Replacing them is a new species of transportation. Electric and hybrid cars are hitting the streets in every neighborhood and town. These new aged electric breed are not only saving money in the tanks, but they are being given all new futuristic designs and tastes. Hopefully in the near future, there will be talks of cars that you can just plug in when you get home and they will be all charged up the next time you’re ready to go.
GM is hard at work at just such a project. The new Chevy Volt should be coming out of the factory with all sorts of top of the line gadgetry. From the new Flex Fuel System to the range extending onboard fuel system. The new Volt should be able to accommodate just about anyone’s needs for it. Whether it is just your grocery getter or your everything car. This car will run purely off the sole power of a lithium battery for at least 40 miles, and has E85 ethanol to recharge it when needed. With one swift motion the car can also run from the gasoline to extend your mileage. That sounds like a sweet ride! Having a battery that recharges itself and gasoline would protect you from many of those moments when you ‘run out of gas’. From what their site ([http://www.chevrolet] dot com/electriccar/) says, the only thing you should have to do is plug it into a 110 volt plug at your home. That’s the same plug you use for your dryer!
Dodge is also catching up the new electric car technology trend. With aggressive and impressive styling, Dodge is throwing out the new ZEO, which stands for Zero Emissions. This car not only looks good but should get an impressive 250 miles a charge, and take the breath out of anyone who sees you driving it.
Even in the United Kingdom they are raving about new electric car technology. From new Lexus’s that do 0-60 in 4.5 seconds to Acura’s that are sleek and designed for the future that is now. Nobody is going to get left behind on this new age venture.
New electric car technology is popping up in conversations everywhere. Talks of the changes in the car market, rises in the stock market, questions about what the oil companies will do and what the public will think. Variants of electric cars are coming out of dealership as we speak. Flex Cars, hybrid cars, solar cars, and more. In designs and trim packages that could never have been expected. They are the next generation in personal transportation.

W Movie – A Monumental Failure
Author: admin07 24th, 2008
With a production budget of 25 million, W. the story of George W. Bush has only made 12.8 million so far. This movie was very unsatisfying, It was neither hilarious nor critical enough when it came to George Bush’s life. I mean, people where literally falling asleep in the theater.
As it was Oliver Stone who did the JFK movie, I expected it to be a lot more critical of Bush’s huge failures in the white house. The story skipped over 9/11 and only briefly touched on the 2000 election in Florida. They basically told us what we already knew about Bush.
They also painted him out to be never good enough for his father. He is always trying to appear better than his older brother Jeb as well. I really don’t think anyone feels sorry for him and don’t know why Stone is trying to humanize Bush and make him out to be an ignorant southerner. You don’t graduate Yale while being stupid and ignorant. They also skipped over the fact that Bush and Kerry where both Skull and Bones members. They only say that Bush was in a regular fraternity at Yale.
I wanted to get my money back after the first ten minutes, but part of me hoped they would delve deeper and make the story more interesting. No such luck. The movie title should have been “Just Claim Ignorance”. Because that is what they did when it came to discussing the WMD’s and justification for Iraq. They also made it like W. had a personal vendetta against Saddam because of what his father had gone through against him. Well if that was true why didn’t they just shoot Saddam instead of giving him a trial?
They portrayed Carl Rove as a nerdy political adviser who could’t understand people. Condoleeza Rice was made out to be innocent through ignorance as was Colin Powell who argued against going into Iraq. While Dick Cheney was played by Richard Dreyfus, so he was slightly sinister in parts, but not enough to despise him.
This movie won’t catch up to its budget because it is too soft on Bush for democrats and not funny enough for republicans. It is like watching a semi documentary replay of everything Bush did in his administration but no insight into why he really did it. Going into Iraq for oil, that is not the real reason or we would have taken the oil. Control of the region may be realistic, but they didn’t delve into that theory enough. It is a sub par flick and you should save your money for any other movie that’s out right now.
